PP filter bag for industrial liquid filtration

PP Filter bag:

The PP filter bag is the workhorse of liquid filtration: a polypropylene filter bag that removes solid particles from water, chemicals, paints and food liquids at low cost. Because polypropylene resists most acids and alkalis and contains no silicone or other extractables, PP filter bags are used in fields such as petrochemicals, coatings, paints, metal finishing, food and beverage, and water treatment.

Micron Ratings from 0.5 to 400:

PP filter bags are available in a full range of micron ratings. Fine grades such as the 0.5 micron and 5 micron polypropylene filter bag capture small particles and protect downstream equipment; medium grades like the 50 micron and 100 micron filter bag handle general clarification; and the 200 micron pp filter bag is the usual choice for coarse straining and pre-filtration. If you are unsure which rating fits your process, tell us the particle size you need to remove and we will recommend the grade.

Two Constructions: Felt and Mesh

Polypropylene felt filter bag — needle-punched felt with a depth-loading structure. Particles are captured through the whole thickness of the media, so one bag holds far more dirt than a surface filter of the same size.
The standard choice for most liquids.Monofilament mesh filter bag — woven PP mesh with a precise, consistent pore opening and a cleanable surface. Better where accurate particle retention matters more than dirt-holding capacity, e.g. straining in food and coating lines. Both types are finished with sewn or welded seams; welded (thermo-bonded) seams leave no needle holes and are preferred for fine ratings.

Replacement PP Filter Bags, Matched to Your Housing

Already running another brand of housing? We supply replacement pp filter bags to standard size 1 and size 2 dimensions, with the ring and seam type matched to your basket.
Because housings and bags come from the same supply chain, fit and ring type are consistent — a bag that sits even slightly out of position is the most common cause of bypass and unfiltered product.
